Mamma Mia! Tickets
The musical Mamma Mia!, based on the songs of ABBA, follows the story of a forty-something mother planning her daughter's wedding. Incorporating 22 of the famous band's songs, Mamma Mia portrays the contrast of values between mother and daughter. Set in the present day on a tiny, mythical Greek island, Mamma Mia! is a musical love story that crosses continents and generations. "Knowing Me, Knowing You," "Take a Chance on Me" and, of course, "Dancing Queen" are all included.
Brandi Burkhardt, who made her Broadway debut earlier this season as Lucie Manette in the short-lived A Tale of Two Cities, succeeds Allison Case in the role of bride-to-be Sophie Sheridan. Case played her final performance in the ABBA-scored musical Jan. 25.
Burkhardt joins a cast that currently includes Carolee Carmello as Donna Sheridan, Judy McLane as Tanya and Gina Ferrall as Rosie with Chris Peluso as Sky, Sean Allan Krill as Sam Carmichael, Pearce Bunting as Bill Austin, Ben Livingston as Harry Bright, Ben Gettinger as Pepper, Samantha Eggers as Lisa, Amina Robinson as Ali and Raymond J. Lee as Eddie.
The ensemble is comprised of Brent Black, Timothy Booth, Allyson Carr, Lanene Charters, Meghan Dreyfuss, Matthew Farver, Lori Haley Fox, Heidi Godt, Jon-Erik Goldberg, Frankie James Grande, Corey Greenan, Bryan Scott Johnson, Monica Kapoor, Robin Levine, Corinne Melançon, Ian Paget, Courtney Reed, Ryan Sander, Collette Simmons, Traci Victoria and Leah Zepel.
Mamma Mia! features music and lyrics by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus, a book by Catherine Johnson, direction by Phyllida Lloyd and choreography by Anthony Van Laast.
